about

She won’t let me leave and she won’t let me die.
I feel as though I’ve been here for ten thousand years.
I am plagued by visions of the tormented dead that came before me to this wretched place.
Were they forced to live? Rebirthed every time they die?
She will not let me take my own life. I try to drown in the lake or hang myself from the trees but every time I wake in my bed of moss and sticks. I hear dead voices persistently, but I can’t make out what they’re saying. I try to run from this place, but the woods never come to an end. They go on for eternity and eventually I end up back at my hovel. She does this to me. I am her plaything.
Some nights I can see the moon. The moon illuminates the wretchedness of this undying forest with a comforting glow. I have no one else. I pray to the moon to end this antilife of mine. Let me die. I don’t wish to be haunted anymore. Let me die.

Performed, recorded, sampled and mixed by Fen Wraith in The Mire.

A cornucopia of digital and analog synthesizers were used to make this album along with an Arturia DrumBrute and a healthy amount of effect pedals.
